The US Army Corps of Engineers, a world leader in hydroelectric power production, is seeking motivated and talented civilian employees to support its mission of providing the very best engineering and engineering services to America, particularly for communities in the Pacific Northwest. The Chief Joseph Dam Project, the second largest power producing dam in North America, is currently recruiting for the following position:
Position: YF-2 Supv Electrical Engineer (0850) or
Supv Mechanical Engineer (0830)
Salary: $66,199 - $120,000 Annual (DOE)
Place of Work: U. S. Army Engineering District, Operations Division,
Chief Joseph Dam Project Office Technical Section,
Bridgeport, WA
This is a Permanent position. -- Full Time
The successful candidate will serve on the ProjectÂ’s management team, as the Chief of Technical Section, in a team atmosphere where everyone is important and all ideas are considered. The position offers dynamic, challenging and state-of-the-art engineering work that includes a robust capital investment program and provides engineering services to all Project operations and maintenance activities. Incumbent must possess current registration as a professional engineer. This is a Permanent, Full Time position.
Chief Joseph is located on the Columbia River in North Central Washington near the community of Bridgeport. The area is situated near the east slopes of the Cascade Mountains and offers many excellent opportunities for an active lifestyle and outdoor recreation including: some of the best fishing in the State, world-class hunting, and many other opportunities such as boating, kayaking, rafting, camping, backpacking, hiking, skiing and snowmobiling. This is a relatively low-cost area with moderate prices for property and ample opportunity for rural/country living.
