Candidate will work with various groups to develop viable use cases to develop a test QA plan that will ensure a successful launch of products that conform to Companies mission of Functionality, Performance, and Reliability. The SW Quality Engineer will be responsible for defining the scope of the testing effort and aligning it with the product development lifecycle and meeting the business requirement defined in the functional specification. Principal responsibilities:Develop, and execute complex testing tasks on complex projectsPerform testing tasks requiring planning, scheduling, and testing to assure that developed products meet design specifications and business needPlan and implement testing for product release cycles Assist in the definition of product use cases for Requirements planningDefine test objectives and write test casesAssist engineering and product management with approach and technical issuesDevelop and maintain various testing proceduresParticipate in all aspects of the quality and performance engineering practicesCarry out functionality testing and analyze test resultsParticipate in the defect tracking and reporting, release engineering, and product quality measurement effortsWork with cross-functional project teams to ensure that product and software quality objectives are understood and metQualifications:Education and Experience Requirements:BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience 1+ years of QA/Testing experienceSolid understanding of a software testing process or methodology, and the software project development lifecycleRDBMS knowledge (Oracle, SQL/Server,MySQL) and SQL skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAble to work in a fast-paced, flexible environmentTime management skills and proven ability to complete objectives on timeAutomation experience a plusCompetencies: Creative and imaginative working styleWell-grounded with the ability to prioritize, multitask and independently problem solveResults oriented, self-motivated and proactive with a proven track record for effective implementation of change and delivering on aggressive timelinesBenefits:Competitive salary based on experience Medical, Dental, Vision, AD&D, Life and Long-term Disability Insurance Medical and Dependent Flexible Spending Account Plans401K and stock options Compensation: DOE
