Survey Crew Chief
Our Survey Division works with nationally known engineering firms, federal and state government agencies and local public authorities. Whether performing a one-lot boundary survey or a major transportation design survey, WE emphasize the experience and the technical background necessary for the efficient use of todayÂ’s technology.
Position Duties: * Candidate must be able to lead and direct the work of a survey crew. * Must have knowledge of boundary and topographic surveys, as well as construction staking. * Ability to prepare clear, concise and complete reports. * Ensure proper survey methods are used by all crew members. * Review all crew generated data to ensure accuracy. * Investigate and provide solutions to field survey problems. * Ability to read and interpret maps and property descriptions to establish and maintain records and files of survey data. * Ability to plan, organizes, assign, lead, motivate and evaluate the work of others.
Position Requirements: * Ability to quickly obtain a Land Surveyor License, is required; assistance will be provided. * Minimum 1yr survey experience in construction, boundary, topographic and engineering design surveys. * Valid driverÂ’s license with an insurable driving record. * Excellent oral and written communication skills for client contact. * Ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments. * Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. * AutoCAD and EaglePoint skills desirable. * Availability for occasional out-of-town projects.
