As a Credit Union Examiner, you will:
• Work with a wide variety of credit unions with assets ranging from tens of thousands of dollars to billions of dollars;
• Complete approximately six to nine months of intensive classroom training and on-the-job training;
• Work under the supervision of a Supervisory Examiner who will provide advice and is available for consultation;
• Use a personal computer to conduct credit union examinations;
• Work with employees and management officials of credit unions;
• Analyze credit union operations;
• Prepare written reports and give oral presentations of examination findings, conclusions and recommendations to credit union leadership;
• Work out of your home;
• Work independently and in small groups to serve a variety of large and small credit unions and interact directly with credit unions for which you are responsible; and
• Have the opportunity to progress rapidly based on your performance.
The position includes overnight travel at a minimum of 25% to 50%.
Minimum requirements: A four year course of study leading to a Bachelors degree in Economics, Accounting, Business, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing or other business related field that included 6 semester hours of course work in Accounting or equivalent courses and 3 semester hours in Introductory Auditing or an equivalent course. (The auditing course may be satisfied after hire.) You must be a United States Citizen.
