Pearson Packaging Systems, a leading U.S. manufacturer of innovative packaging machinery and engineered, end-of-line packaging systems has an immediate opening for a Controls Engineer.
As a Controls Engineer you will be responsible for developing all aspects of electrical control systems for end-of-line packaging machinery. This includes preparing detailed designs and programs based on written and verbal specifications of desired machinery function as well as preparations of BOMÂ’s and cost estimates for customer driven requirements. You may be responsible for the installation and technical support of servo and PLC based hardware and software via phone support and/or in-field. Travel up to 25% may be required. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the field of Electro-Mechanical equipment design and manufacture is required. This position relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. You will work under general supervision and report to a Project Engineer.
Requirements:
BS in Engineering or equivalent.
Three Years PLC, HMI, Servo Control and Integration experience.
One year Basic AutoCAD experience. AutoCAD Electrical experience a plus.
Ability to program in language other than Ladder Logic (VB, C++, etc.)
Ability to prepare thorough detailed designs and programs.
Ability to provide sound design judgment and the contribution of technical knowledge on cross-functional teams, in a professional manner.
Excellent technical, verbal communication, organizational, and problem solving skills.
Robotic Experience a plus
