The primary duty of a Shift Manager consists in managing and guiding the group of people to produce a high-quality product, as well as to troubleshoot. This position is in charge of indicating the direction and empowering a group of people of nearly 20-25 workers as well as assuring a tidy working environment while assisting in removing any impediments. In addition, this position is responsible for establishing and keeping up discipline and training.
A successful Shift Manager have to possess:
- Great leadership and controlling experience
- Skills in a bustling milieu (except manufacturing)
- Ability to identify and overcome difficulties (staff and gears)
- Great troubleshooting skills
- Practical manner of management
- Desire to assist in development of others
- Capability to work a 12-hour shift with variable days-off
