Nursery sales (South Hill, Palouse Hwy) Full-time

As the spring season progresses, we are adding additional staff for nursery sales work. Currently, we are preparing the nursery for the season: moving plants out of greenhouses, potting plants, unloading trucks, and so on. This is an opportunity for someone physically fit who knows hardy plant material to learn and prepare for work on a sales team. Nursery sales includes weekend work, since that is the most popular time for nursery shopping. You must have reliable attendance and transportation. The bus does not come to the nursery. The season runs until October/Nov.. I do keep a limited staff on year round.
Definite preference for knowledge of plants including their real names and ability to instruct customers on their proper growing conditions. Prior retail experience also a help.
The facility is 100% nonsmoking at all times.
Applicants must submit a letter of interest detailing prior plant knowledge and why you are interested in nursery work. A general resume will not be considered if submitted without that letter. You must be available full time. We are M-F at this time, but will be including weekends in the schedule soon when we open for the season.
This is a great place to learn plant material and further a horticultural career.


Location: South Hill, Palouse Hwy
Compensation: $10/hr to start
