South Hill Assisted Living is looking for Caregivers and Medication Aides: on-call, day or evening shifts available.

The Caregiver is responsible for assisting residents in Activities of Daily Living including, but not limited to: bathing, grooming, dressing, transfers, meal service and assisting residents as requested. We are committed to maintaining resident dignity and treating our residents with respect and providing superior customer service.


The Medication Aide must be able to work as a Caregiver as well as providing residents medication as ordered by physician, transcribe medication and treatment orders, communicate with physicians, physician's offices, hospitals, families and residents. The Medication Aide must be detail oriented, intuitive, patient, able to work in a fast-paced position, responsive and respectful. Previous Medication Aide experience preferred. Nursing students encouraged to apply.

Applicants must be age 18 or over, must pass a background check and drug screening. Prior caregiving experience with a NAC or NAR desired. Applicants with Fundamentals of Caregiving, First aid, CPR, Mental Health, AIDS and other certifications will receive first priority, however, these are not all required prior to hire. These positions will require a Food Handler Card.

The successful candidate will be dependable, on-time, have a good work ethic and have dependable transportation to and from work. The public bus system does not provide adequate service to our location.
