full time CMTV Production Coordinator (Spokane, WA)

CMTV Production Coordinator: Community-Minded Television, an Initiative of Community-Minded Enterprises a Spokane regional non-profit organization, seeks a Production Coordinator. This position will be responsible for developing new programming and creating new programs with video and editing equipment and technology. Will also work with Graphic Design Department in developing new capabilities for Community-Minded Media and deliverables to the service organization we support with graphic design and video projects. This position will develop community resources with classes and trainings for community members and area organizations, and the creation of content for CMTV. This is a full time (32 hr week) non benefited position.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Must have the knowledge and ability to shoot, edit, and output video content for CMTV.
• Act as liaison between Initiative Station Manager and staff as well as act as Project Coordinator in the absence of one.
• Create, structure, and teach classes to community producers in basic camera operation, lighting, software (Final Cut Pro, iMovie, iDVD, DVD Studio Pro, Compressor, Motion, Photoshop, & Illustrator), writing, and story structure.
• Advise and oversee Project Coordinators regarding contracts, budget, and other financial processes.
• Work with station staff to establish identity for CMTV as a resource for neighborhoods and community service organizations.
• Oversee Interns, volunteers, & Work Study students to develop and complete projects.
• Act as a representative of CMTV at community and partner meetings.
• Facilitates new partnerships and expands existing collaborations to advance the goals of the Community-Minded Media Initiative.
3-5 years experience working in media arts and/or a related field. Must demonstrate strong computer literacy including a high level of capablitity with the Microsoft Suite, Adobe suite programs, Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Compressor and web generated content. Must also have the ability to efficiently conduct research via the Internet. Must be able to work both individually and as a part of a team.
