Branch Manager (Spokane)

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and management in our support services in the Spokane Supported Living Branch. The primary function of this role is to ensure SL Start's Mission and Values are carried out on a consistent basis by ensuring personalized services are developed and implemented to maintain individuals' health and safety and to honor each individual's needs, preferences, aspirations and choices. In addition, the Branch Manager enhances the direct support and management team members' ability to support by organizing and coordinating staff training.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
1. Ensure health and safety outcomes are achieved by following the established principles, processes, policies,
procedures and monitoring tools.
2. Lead, manage and supervise the team so that Individual Support Plans meet and achieve the needs and goals of
each individual, ensuring Quality Service outcomes.
3. Maintain awareness of activities through ongoing site visits, attendance at key meetings and one-on-one monthly
meetings with Community Resource Managers.
4. Ensure services are monitored and evaluated to conform with the objectives of SL Start and to comply with state
laws, regulations and policies.
5. Report accurate results of the monthly quality assurance measures to the Division Director.
6. Regularly inform the Branch Director and Director of Operations of events having an impact on individuals who
receive services.
7. Ensure Positive Working Environment outcomes by using the established principles, processes, policies,
procedures and monitoring tools provided.
8. Work with the Branch director to establish budget proprieties, reports and to maintain the operation within the
established budget.
9. Seek out publications, classes and training seminars that fit established goals of the organization to achieve
higher leadership abilities, knowledge and personal growth.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor s degree in the areas of rehabilitation, psychology, special education, social work or a related field
(preferred), or a minimum of five years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
2. Two years demonstrated ability to effectively supervise staff in maintaining quality services.
3. Verification of a good driving record, insurance and reliable transportation.
4. First Aid and CPR certification.
5. Ability to satisfy a criminal background check.
6. Knowledge of current training methods and behavior support practices.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Excellent time management, leadership and decision making skills and the ability to respond well to emergencies.
9. Willingness to work flexible hours.
