Seeking Copy Editor (Spokane)

The Pacific Northwest Inlander, an award-winning alternative newsweekly in Spokane, Wash., is seeking a full-time COPY EDITOR.
WeÂ’re looking for someone who has a mastery of grammar and AP style, obsesses over the smallest details, thinks about the reader and presses reporters to back up every claim. Experience as a copy editor at a daily, weekly or college paper is highly desired.
Aside from having editing expertise — which is central to the position — the ideal candidate would also be creative and detailed-oriented, able to juggle various administrative tasks (tracking writers’ productivity, for instance), contribute reported articles to the paper and help coordinate special projects.
