SUMMER JOBS AT CITY AQUATIC CENTERS

City of Spokane Parks & Recreation will be hiring to fill more than 100 positions at the CityÂ’s six brand new aquatic centers. Applications are available now.
Each pool will require a staff of at least 20 including lifeguards, aquatic aides, instructors, and managers. The positions and pay rates are as follows:
Pool Manager $10.75
Asst. Pool Manager $10.00
Head Swim Coach $10.75
Swim Coach $ 9.75
Water Safety Instructor $ 9.75
Lifeguard $ 9.00
Aquatic Aide $ 8.55
Please note, certifications must be current through September 2010.

As a reminder, indicate on your application the dates you may need off during the summer. Staff days off will be given on a first-come, first-served basis, so itÂ’s important to send in your application (with any needed time off noted) as soon as possible. Interviews will be held in April and returning staff will be notified at that time. Training for Lifeguards, Water Safety Instructors (certification needed to teach swim lessons) and the CPR course will begin in May.
