Sales | Operations Position Available (Spokane, Wa)

The Glover Mansion | Red Rock Catering is currently on the prowl for a highly qualified Sales and Operations individual or individuals to work amongst our amazing team.
Our company is rapidly growing and we would like to add on someone with a large background in Sales and Operations.
Please bring the following qualifications with you:
1. At least two to three years catering and sales experience as well as event management.
*All events booked by our sales staff will be handled by our sales staff from start to finish.
2. Two to three years in operations.
*This means the back-work for events including linen ordering, food ordering, small background details, staffing etc.
3. Strong leadership skills.
*You will be in charge of making sure all events run smoothly and that your staff is happy and well taken care of. This also includes making certain the client is happy and taken care of as well.
4. Strong organizational skills.
*This is self-explanatory. In the event industry, organization is key.
5. Strong communication skills.
*Again, this is a key part of the event industry.
6. An always positive-up beat attitude.
*The staff and management at times work many hours. Being positive, organized, upbeat and communicative is not only important, we require it. An event runs well when a staff is happy and the background is organized.
7. Experience with a multi-line phone system.
*You will also be in charge of answering calls. Most of our incoming phone calls are potential clients or current clients. We ask that you have experience in a clerical environment which includes phone answering.
8. Must be able to work independently.
*Calls come in and you will be in charge of following up on leads, keeping track of events, time-lines, milestones, payments and more. We do not have systems for this. This is up to you and the way you organize your daily schedule.
9. You will be in charge of selling events, planning all details, working one on one with each client and operating all of your own events off-site.
*You must be able to complete your daily tasks under minimal supervision.
10. You will be working frequent evenings and weekends.
*Most of our events take place in the evenings and on weekends. You must have a flexible schedule. Some events may even begin at five in the morning. The events industry is very sporadic.
11. We never cold call. This doesn’t happen in our industry. We sell to interested parties who inquire to us.
12. You may at times be asked to work a trade show booth for us.
