The Inlander will be offering several internship opportunities this summer:
1. Arts Writing: Write stories and assist arts editor; flexible shifts (10+ hours/week); work with other reporters on projects.
2. Web: Assist Web Editor in posting and editing online content; Web duties are typically performed on Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday mornings.
3. Photo: Shoot photographs for publication; also learn to process and edit images for print.
4. Calendar writing. Write events blurbs and assist Calendar Editor.
5. Glossy magazine: Work on Annual Manual, a 200-page magazine dedicated to dining, shopping, nightlife, sports and recreation, arts and entertainment and family.

  • Since these are UNPAID positions, we strive to offer interns solid, real-world experience and educational feedback. Interns will get the opportunity to work in a professional newspaper environment alongside veteran reporters and writers. They will have access to staff meetings and critiques, where they’ll learn how our weekly paper works.
*Pay: This is not a paid program, but interns may receive some minimal compensation for exceptional work. *Duration: 3-4 months *Requirements: Access to a car; genuine interest in journalism.
