Electrical Engineering Technician (Spokane Valley)

Purcell Systems, the global leader in customized equipment cabinets and enclosures to protect and support telecommunications network equipment is seeking an entry level Electrical Engineer Technician.
The incumbent will provide electrical engineering support to product management, production, engineering, and field technicians for design, manufacture, maintenance, troubleshooting, and service of products to meet customer needs and expectations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Design, create and maintain wiring diagrams, cable assemblies, alarming schematics, and related systems to support various cabinet functions and for use in new product development.
2. Make product changes and initiate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to document and implement those changes.
3. Develop and test various products and solutions, addressing issues such as thermal performance, battery warmth, surface-mount soldering, and coding software.
4. Research and respond to technical questions from production personnel to support construction and troubleshooting of cabinets. Interpret manuals as needed.
5. Support field operations by addressing customer concerns; assist field staff, customers, and vendors in developing solutions for field-encountered problems and changing demands.
6. Serve on the Engineering Standards Board.
7. Conduct laboratory testing in research and development for construction and troubleshooting on an as needed basis.
8. Assist other team members as needed to learn new skills and produce quality documents.
9. Provide input on processes, procedures, materials, and services to support innovation and continuous improvement.
10. Complete other tasks, assignments, and projects as directed.
Education and Experience:
1. Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
3. Knowledge of and ability to operate standard electrical testing equipment, including oscilloscopes and meters.
4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, with emphasis on Excel; programming basics in C++ and Visual Basic preferred.
