Lead Teacher needed for therapeutic day care at a residential women and children s drug treatment facility in Spokane, WA.
This position is responsible for implementing curriculum design, classroom management, classroom sanitizing and daily documentation on class progress. The position will act as a liaison between supervisor and parents and will require attendance of staff meetings and trainings
Minimum degree of AA/AS in Early Child Education or related study, STARS registration (within six months of start) and one (1) year child care or related experience required. Experience with chemical dependency and/or drug affected children preferred and childcare supervisory skills/experience a benefit
Needs strong interpersonal communication, empathic, organizational and multitasking abilities. Must be detail oriented and maintain strict ethical and professional boundaries, willingness to work in a change based environment, use critical thinking skills and maintain a thorough knowledge of children/child development.
