OrbitCom, Inc., facilities based Voice and Data Service provider, is recruiting for a Network Support II position. OrbitCom delivers Data Services ranging from DSL, T1s, to Ethernet to OCn. A candidate needs to be self-motivated, have desire to learn, and provide excellent customer support service.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility of the position is to troubleshoot and resolve escalations from Network Support I technicians. Secondary responsibilities are to test, provision and schedule turn up of new network services. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Network and telco facilities preventive maintenance, documentation, facility upgrades, and On Call rotation.
Qualifications:
CCNA Certified, CCNP preferred, or equivalent experience
2 years experience troubleshooting and provisioning WAN circuits (DSL, T1, T3, OCN)
Demonstrate clear understanding of
Routing
Ethernet Switching
Layer 2 LAN & WAN protocols
IP Addressing, subnetting , and VLSM
Clear oral and written communication
Desire and ability to learn new concepts and technologies
