OrbitCom, Inc., facilities based Voice and Data Service provider, is recruiting for a Network Support I position. OrbitCom delivers Data Services ranging from DSL, T1s, to Ethernet to OCn.
Responsibilities:
A candidate needs to be self-motivated, have desire to learn, and provide excellent customer support service. Primary focus of the position is to troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate trouble tickets created by the Customer Service Team. Secondary responsibilities are to test, turn up, and provision new network services. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Network and telco facilities preventive maintenance, documentation, facility upgrades, and On Call rotation.
Schedule:
The expected work schedule is 8am to 5pm Monday – Friday
Job Qualifications
- 1 year experience with troubleshooting DSL and DS1 circuits
- 1 year experience with DS1, DS0, cat5 wiring standards
- Understanding of IP addressing and VLSM
- Basic understanding of routing and switching concepts
- CCNA Certification preferred
- Clear oral and written communication
- Desire and ability to learn new concepts and technologies
