Experienced Network Administrator needed to augment existing Information Systems team. This position is part of a team responsible for the integrity and operation of the corporate network, production servers, mail systems, operating databases, and individual machines at both the primary and backup sites for a web-based software company. Responsibilities require an understanding of both networking and telecommunications theory and practice. Our Network Administrators manage hardware, software and telecommunication equipment in order to maintain smooth uninterrupted operations and workflow for the company and its clients. In addition, this position works with customers and employees to perform software rollouts, monitors the system for support issues, performs security assessments and due diligence audits, upgrades software and hardware, and is responsible for general system health.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: Bachelors Degree in MIS, computer science, software, engineering, or related field.
• Experience: Five years of network and server administration experience in Information Systems including Windows Server Administration, virtualization technologies, and server hardware support.
• General Network Administration experience including Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, and routed networks environments utilizing a mix of CatOS and IOS.
• General knowledge of SQL server administration, replication, writing queries, management reports and experience with Microsoft SQL 2000-2008 including database analysis, problem determination, and growth forecasting.
• General Helpdesk experience working with internal and external customers to provide technical support.
• Experience with security assessments, quality assurance and system audits such as PCI, SAS 70, ISO 9001, etc is highly desirable.
• Desktop Support administration experience including Windows desktop support and experience with Macs is desirable.
• Available for after hours system support with high speed internet access/VPN technology
