Information Systems Specialist (Spokane South Side) Full-time

We are looking for the right candidate to join our Information Systems team. Primary responsibilities will include technical troubleshooting, helping clients, gathering information on issues to escalate to developers and project management, and communicating with technical staff as well as non-technical clients Secondary responsibilities will include working on internal tools and solutions; desktop support for both PCs and MACs and network administration backup. Strong phone customer service skills, ability to research and document, and previous experience with Internet platforms required. Experience with or desire and ability to learn SQL and web development technologies a plus. Credit/lending industry experience helpful but not required. If you have an upbeat personality, keep up with technology trends, and are a self-starter, with ability to multitask, patience, and attention to detail as well as the ability to work successfully with individuals with all levels of computer knowledge, you are encouraged to apply.
JOB HIGHLIGHTS:
• Function as an integral member of a cohesive team providing quality customer service defined by goals rather than a narrow list of job duties.
• Provide frontline support to customers in the use of web software with a SQL back-end with a central focus on customer service and system uptime.
• Resolve end user support calls via the Help desk, remote assistance, NOC utilities, and through a ticket system.
• Act as advocate for the end-users in working with other employees from developers to sales staff in order to resolve bugs and feature requests.
• Enter solutions into knowledge base and create tutorials for help desk posting.
• Work with customers to gather information regarding bugs and feature requests.
• Collaborate with peers regarding issues and project escalation.
• Work with network administrators to maximize system uptime, design and implement cost saving strategies, provide system security and assessments, and maintain disaster recovery.
• Maintain MAC and PC desktops.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science highly desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree. Minimum 2 years experience in telephone technical support, desktop support or computer software support.
• Excellent customer serviceinterpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to write clearly and document accurately.
• Ability to troubleshoot server and workstation issues effectively.
• Ability to create and deliver effective technology training.
• Ability to work on and troubleshoot MAC and PC workstations, internet connectivity, and applications.
• SQL and web programming skills or experience a plus but not required.
• Be available for after hours on call support which requires high speed internet access. Be available to work an early or late shift.
