The Solution Developer Intern is an intern-level technical position within the Information Technology department of Cerium Networks and reports directly to the companyÂ’s Network Manager. This position is responsible for designing, creating and deploying custom programmed solutions, as well as assisting in the on-going support of said solutions for Cerium Networks associates and customers. Services in this position are performed with enthusiasm and friendliness and a willingness to help others. Adherence to Cerium Networks Core Values and Mission Statement is expected and is critical to the success of the companyÂ’s Information Technology department.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Gather operational requirements from Cerium Subject Matter Experts that pertain to business process enhancement needs as directed by management.
2. Design, develop, and implement custom programmed software solutions that address business process enhancement needs as directed by management.
3. Assist in the on-going support of Cerium custom programmed solutions.
4. Provide “hand off” documentation for Cerium IT staff that details the installation, operation, and support of custom designed programmed solutions.
5. Provide “user” documentation where applicable to Cerium associate staff that details the user operation of custom designed programmed solutions.
6. Provide assistance in the development of data mining and report-generation efforts of existing data repositories within CeriumÂ’s data infrastructure as directed by management.
7. Assess current custom programming development projects and recommend enhancement strategies.
8. Other duties as directed by management.
Technical Skill Requirements:
1. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with the following programming technologies using an MS SQL database as a data source:
a. VBScript/ASP/ASP.NET
b. C#
c. JavaScript
2. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with IIS 6.0 and specifically how it relates to custom program development, deployment, and support.
3. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with MS SQL Server 2005 in the following areas:
a. Creation of databases, tables, views.
b. Creation of stored procedures.
c. Query design (experience with T-SQL scripting preferred but not essential).
4. Proven exposure to these technologies are preferred but not essential:
a. Microsoft Share Point Services and Microsoft Office Share Point Server (MOSS) 2007.
b. Microsoft Dynamics CRM
c. Microsoft Dynamics Solomon

8. Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
Work Experience:
Intern-level only experieince will be considered for this position.
