The Vice President of Engineering has overall accountability for the development of software products and services while meeting development schedules and ensuring product functionality, usability and performance. Primary responsibilities include: establishing and managing an engineering organization that is proficient in building sophisticated web based applications and tools; contributing as a hands-on software developer; planning and architecting a highly scalable software platform and network infrastructure to enable the delivery of our technology; evaluating potential new technologies and partners; and establishing technical strategic direction.
Position requirements are: a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field; at least 10 years of Software Engineering experience, with at least 7 years experience at the Management level; significant hands-on experience with current programming languages, database design tools and technologies including Ruby, Cold Fusion, JavaScript, MSSQL, XML, HTML; and a proven track record in planning, delivering and managing software engineering projects on time with minimal errors and accepted by internal and external customers. Location: Sandpoint, ID
