Network Security Engineer - Technical Support (Post Falls, ID) Full-time

Job Summary
Provide technical support, configuration, and troubleshooting assistance via telephone, email, and remote session for the TriGeo security appliance Security Information Manager. Resolve customer issues as they pertain to the TriGeo Security Appliance. Assist in the deployment of new TriGeo Security appliances. Maintain knowledge, TriGeo products, security industry software, hardware security technology and applications.
Responsibility, Authority and Essential Duties:
• Provide security-centric technical support to customers using the TriGeo Security Information Manager via phone, email and remote session.
• Interact with customers (Network Administrators, System Administrators, Security Officer) responsible for LAN/WAN security.
• Assist customers with their preparation for Security Compliance (SOX, GLBA, HIPPA, and PCI) Audits.
• Manage and work an open ticket backlog in CRM using established guidelines.
• Exceed quality standards (Communication Frequency, Resolution Effectiveness, and Speed to Resolution).
• Perform day to day administration duties related to time, task and backlog management.
• Maintain professional demeanor.
• Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical customers.
• Adhere to pre-established escalation guidelines.
• Coordinate the resolution of technical issues with Advanced Support Team.
• Contribute to the TriGeo Knowledgebase (author and edit knowledge base articles).
• Maintain working lab systems
• Other related duties as appropriate and required by your supervisor
• This position does not have supervisory responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Experience:
o Minimum 2 years supporting and administering network devices and systems including: routers, firewalls, switches, or wireless access points.
o Experience administering Windows, Linux, and/or UNIX servers preferably in a multi-site network.
o Proficiency in network trouble shooting, diagnostic root cause analysis.
o Solid background in Active Directory and Directory Services. Experience administering common network services like DNS, Web Servers (IIS, Apache), FTP Servers, Email Servers, and Database
Systems Administration is desirable.
o Advanced troubleshooting experience (PC hardware/software).
o Experience analyzing security related problems, projects and tools
o Strong background with the Microsoft Windows platform (XP, Vista, Win7, Windows Server (2000 – 2008 etc.).
o Knowledge and experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
o Solid understanding of networking protocols TCPIP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, SNMP, Syslog, SSH etc.
o A Background in Network Administration / System Administration including experience with installation, service and administration of a medium to large multi-server network.
o Solid background in Windows Administration, and Windows Security Administration including logging.
o Experience supporting mission critical hardware and applications. Experience in the banking, healthcare industry helpful.
o A strong awareness of information security best practices including experience with SOX, HIPPA, GLBA, PCI, IDS, IPS, Proxies, Anti-Malware, Content Filtering, Vulnerability.
o Experience in a 24/7/365 work schedule environment
Desired Experience:
• The ideal candidate will have work experience in a regulated industry with experience working with auditors to ensure compliance with one or more regulatory standards such as PCI, GLBA, SOX, FERC, HIPPA, etc. The ideal candidate will have been a Network Administrator or System Administrator with extensive multiple platform environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with security as it relates to several of the following:
o Common regulatory requirements, including SOX, PCI, HIPAA, GLBA
o Intrusion Detection
o Anti-virus
o Privacy
o Microsoft Windows
o Linux, Unix
o Network technologies (firewalls, routers, switches)
o Security tools and technologies
o Penetration Testing and vulnerability assessment-Network, Host, Applications
o Firewall, VPN, IDS and related network security design and implementation
• Strong endpoint security experience, including network design, implementation, and management
• Desired security network, and systems related professional certifications are a plus such as Security+, Network+, CEH, CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, etc.

• Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, technical documents, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
• Reasoning Ability - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
• Must speak, read and write English fluently
• Must type at least 40 words per minute
