Human Resources Representative – TEMPORARY POSITION
Description
SL Start is a social services agency providing an array of personalized services for children and adults with developmental disabilities. The Shared Services Team provides administrative and professional services across all operational divisions of SL Start.
Human Resources Representative
We are currently seeking a temporary Human Resources Representative who shares our passion for enriching peopleÂ’s lives. PLEASE NOTE: This is a temporary position for approximately 4 months to cover a leave of absence.
Responsibilities of this position include:
This position provides human resource generalist services including recruiting, HRIS and employee recordkeeping, workerÂ’s compensation, unemployment insurance, leave of absence, employee relations, and performance management coaching to managers and employees of SL Start.
Job Duties:
• Provides Information and education on HR Policies and Guidelines to managers, supervisors, and team members.
• Delivers Supportive HR Strategies and ensures compliance with local, state and federal employment laws and regulations.
• Executes HR processes and systems to ensure consistency, legal compliance, and desired outcomes and serves as subject matter expert for Recruiting, HRIS, Worker’s Compensation, and Unemployment Insurance.
• Serves as an advocate on behalf of all employees and the company.
• Reporting and Data Management – Uses HRIS and other systems to record, report and manage a variety of employee and human resources data.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to satisfy a criminal background check and drug screen
• Work-based experience with MS office, spreadsheets and databases
• Ability to provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a positive, professional way
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• PHR or other HR certification preferred but not required.
Salary: $14 - $15/hr DOE
