Community Work Incentive Coordinator:
Community-Minded Enterprises, a Spokane regional non-profit organization, seeks applicants for our Plan to Work program. Employee will provide individualized work incentives planning and assistance to people who receive Social Security benefits and are working or seeking work throughout Central and Eastern Washington.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Provide in depth research, analysis, and technical assistance regarding Social Security benefits, other public programs and work incentives in alignment with an individual’s situation and work goals.
• Communicate effectively about complex social security benefit information with persons with a wide range of disabilities, communication styles, and cultural backgrounds;
• Deliver presentations and educational material to beneficiaries and community partners.
• Conduct extensive community outreach efforts.
• Carry out comprehensive data collection, tracking, and follow up, including database entry and monthly reporting.
• Travel regularly across Eastern and Central Washington with additional trips to state, regional and national trainings.
B.A.in Social Work, Business or Education preferred, however social service work experience to include technical assistance and/or social security benefits information may substitute for formal education. A current Community Work Incetives Coordinator (CWIC) certificate is preferred, however, training will be provided. Must demonstrate strong computer literacy including a high level of capablitity with the entire Microsoft Suite, internet research and database software. Must be able to work both individually and as a part of a team.
