Java / C / TAL Software Applications Consultant Contract

Initial project is 3-5 weeks, with the ability to grow the project to 2-4 months, depending on Quality of work, Communications & Writing Ability, and ability to support project expansion (e.g., Can Do attitude).

Java / C / TAL Systems Analyst responsible for an Applications design & scalability review, analysis, and design-reporting project Java / C / TAL Systems Analyst with Scalability, High Availability design, review & recommendation experience. Will meet with customer stakeholders of the legacy Java & C system, provide design analysis, review, and formal-response write-up. Provides Systems Analysis review for applications scalability (specifically, High Availability), developing ‘best practice’ business plans with information technology strategies.

Key Experience & Knowledge

1. Knowledge & Experience of High Availability principles, practices and standards, with focus on:
• Application architectural requirements for fail-over cluster operation
• Application architectural requirements for load balancing operation

2. Proficiency in one or more of the following languages:
• C
• TAL
• Java

3. Proficiency in one or more of the following platforms
• Unix
• Linux
• Linux SME server Works with end user groups to identify technical solutions to business problems, process, security or related scalability & high-availability inefficiencies. Evaluates existing systems and/or user needs and provide formal recommendation(s) report. Will require documented Java / C / TAL experience and/or certification. Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Heavy experience with a variety of the Java / C / TAL field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.

Relies on documented experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated design-review tasks, including review, analysis, and succinct process/scalability findings & best-practices write-up (reporting). Will coordinate with NETWORK & INFRASTRUCTURE consultants to create a 360-degree report on the customer’s scalability and “High Availability” capabilities, limitations, issues, recommendations; and related.
