We are looking for a GeoBase GIS Analyst for our client - Fairchild AFB, Spokane, WA
Description and Desired Qualifications: GeoBase GIS Analyst
Title: GIS Analyst - Fairchild AFB, Spokane, WA
In this position, you will be help the Fairchild Air Force Base Geospatial Integration Office (GIO) to geospatially transform business processes beyond standard GIS to an enterprise system using state of the art technologies to support installation management, the war fighter and homeland security. You will be working on-site at our client location with mapping techniques, data collection tools, and assist with the coordination of GeoBase adoption and execute standard GIS analyses. You should be self-motivated professional with 4 years of GIS experience including data conversion from CAD to GIS, spatial database development and maintenance and knowledge of accepted data standards such as Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure and Enviornment (SDSFIE). You should have the eagerness and the drive to grow personally as well as professionally with each GeoBase GIS project.
GeoBase GIS Analysts must have:
• AA/AS in Geography, or 5 years related GIS experience in lieu of a degree. Prefer a Bachelor's degree
•A miniumum of 2 years experience in ARCGIS 9.x or a later version
•Experience with utilities mapping techniques and civil engineering activities. •Knowledge of technical facets of data management plans, QA/QC plans, GIS needs analysis, strategic plans, and/or implementation plans. •Knowledgeable of the DoD installation GIS development efforts and system requirements. •CADD technology skills for data migration to GIS.•Knowledgeable of accepted data standards for metadata (FGDC), and data content (SDSFIE).•Work experience with GPS equipment use and field data collection.
• A positive attitude, good client interface skills, a team success attitude, willingness to take management direction, and clear communication skills.
Due to DoD Security Clearance, United States Citizenship is required. Location: Spokane
