Information and Data Administration Manager
This position is responsible for the enterprise-wide design, implementation and management of the organizationÂ’s Databases, Data Warehouse, and various layers of the Business Intelligence stacks and processes in support of both internal and external customers. Responsibilities include overseeing of all data structures, data warehouse, and various layers of the business intelligence stack to provide one of the best-in-class information management systems for a data rich organization. This person works closely with IT & other business managers to ensure the data and information requirements of all applications and business units are met. This position reports to the IT Director of Business Applications.
Role Description
1. Oversee the design, implementation, and monitoring of all Data Structures, Data Warehouse, and various layers of the Business Intelligence stack in support of the internal and external customers.
2. Perform personnel management tasks including but not limited to recruiting, staff hiring, performance reviews, employee career development, timekeeping, job descriptions, salary classification, and vacation time management, etc.
3. Maintain a core workforce of motivated technical professionals, trained in appropriate Databases, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, and storage technologies and expert in the Advantage IQ business domain.
4. Responsible for overall databases performance, quality, availability, and security plus ensuring databases backup processes are in place and executed for recovery purposes.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with hardware and software vendors to ensure value in purchases to support the databases, Data Warehouse, the Business Intelligence environment.
6. Ensure Data Teams priorities are in continual alignment with business goals and objectives.
7. Ensure the availability of Development, QA and Production database environments to support the business and ongoing development efforts.
8. Ensure Data Bases, Data Warehousing, and the Business Intelligence solutions meet stated business requirements, are readily scalable to support business growth, and are delivered on time and within budget.
9. Responsible for ensuring new data requirements and data structures to support business initiatives are documented and maintained.
10. Prepare departmental goals and ensure they are met.
11. Manage daily project deliverables where required.
Role Competencies
o BS in Computer Science, or equivalent field.
o Minimum of 10 years Database, Data Warehouse, and Business Intelligence experience.
o Expertise in Microsoft SQL database management systems, reporting, analysis, and other BI layers & services required
o Strong familiarity with Informatica ETL, data modeling tools, Cognos, and MS SharePoint recommended
o Expertise in project management.
o Excellent interpersonal skills.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
