A large Spokane Valley commercial bakery has an opening for a Safety Coordinator. Will be responsible for managing all safety related training. Track accident and injury statistics to identify trends and provide potential solutions. Ensure investigations are fully completed in a timely manner. Participate in investigations when necessary. Ensure federal, state, and local safety compliance for all division facilities. Provide communication within the division and operating companies. Participate in and provide direction to the Safety Committee. Manage reward and recognition programs. Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a solid work history of at least one (1) year length at previous jobs.
- Must have a Bachelors degree in Business Management, Human Resource Management, Health & Safety, or related field and one to two years related work experience.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen and physical.
- Must have a proven safe work history.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Must have a high level of analytical skills.
- Must have the ability to exercise a high level of independent judgment and autonomy.
- Must implement and enforce all policies and procedures to ensure the safety of our employees.
- Must have excellent computer skills Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook.
- Must have excellent presentation skills.
- Must have a positive work ethic and be safety oriented and reliable.
- Must have a valid drivers license and good driving record. Must provide abstract at the time of interview. Will be driving on company business.
