ALK Abello´ Source Materials, Inc. (ASM), a leading manufacturer of quality allergenic biological source materials, and a member of the global ALK-Abello´ group of companies, is recruiting for our open Greenhouse Assistant position. This position is a seasonal, part-time position starting in late March through October/November, working 10-30 hours per week. Join our stable and growing company and provide leadership and expertise to our workforce located in our 90,000 square foot facility in Post Falls, ID.
The Greenhouse Assistant is responsible for assisting our Agricultural Specialists in all greenhouse duties including planting, pruning, cleaning, and collecting raw material. This position will also be responsible for the exterior landscaping of our facility, including mowing, planting, and pruning. The Greenhouse Assistant will also assist at ASMÂ’s Farm in Plummer, ID with farm labor and pollen collection.
The ideal candidate will be a horticultural or biology undergraduate student with schedule flexibility, plus knowledge of effective planting techniques as well as the ability to operate farm and landscaping equipment. Demonstration of excellent communication, facilitation skills and teamwork are a must.
All positions require the ability to work around hazardous chemicals and allergenic antigens.
