The Inland Northwest Blood Center, a not-for-profit, community service organization, saving lives by providing quality products and services to support transfusion and transplantation medicine in the Inland Northwest, is recruiting for one full-time Human Resources Manager. This position is responsible for managing the technical/administrative aspects of Human Resources (HR). Areas of accountability within the HR department include compensation, benefits, employee selection/termination procedures, personnel policies, Affirmative Action/EEO, employee relations, and safety. Supervise, direct and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel. This position is scheduled primarily days.
Bachelors degree in HR/related field; or equivalent combination of education/experience; PHR/SPHR preferred; 5 years of progressively responsible HR generalist experience; proven experience in positive management of multiple direct reports preferred; demonstrated experience in all aspects of HR, including compensation, benefits, employee relations, and safety; demonstrated ability to effectively write policies and procedures; and experience with self-insured health plans desired. Experience in a blood banking or healthcare environment preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of human resource management/laws related to employment, benefits, compensation and safety; excellent presentation/training skills; strong team building skills, active listening skills, and the ability to develop and motivate others to accomplish goals; possess high ethical standards and values, personal integrity and honesty; excellent verbal/written communication, proofreading, grammar, presentation, and organizational skills; demonstrated proficiency in the use of word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation, and e-mail software, preferably Microsoft Office products; and ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally.
