Environmental Technician - Air Particulates (Spokane, WA) Full-time

Our client is seeking an Environmental Technician to assist in testing procedures, analysis, and preparation of findings reports. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Natural Science, Engineering, or equivelant work experience in a related field of work. Position requires source testing, sampling the gaseous emission stream from some industrial processes, and quantify certain air pollutants. Field work requires up to 60% of travel, as well as some long days (generally home on weekends). Field work is outdoors in inclement weather, and on tall structures. You must not be afraid of heights to do this job!Skills & Requirement:
~ 2 year degree, preferrable in a technical or scientific study
~ Training as Environmental Engineer helpful
~ Can not be afraid of heights
~ Intermediate skills with Word, Excel and Outlook
~ Mechanical ability (may require occassional repair of test equipment)
~ Must have excellent math skills
~ Ability to work unsupervised and make decisions regarding unforeseen problems.
~ Must strictly adhere to safety policies (you will be working at extreme heights, its no place to relax about safety!)
~ Must be personable with good communication skills
