ALK Abello' Source Materials, Inc., (ASM) a leading manufacturer of quality allergenic biological source materials, and a member of the global ALK-Abello' group of companies, is recruiting for our Production Supervisor position. Join our stable and growing company and provide leadership and expertise to our workforce located in our 90,000 square foot facility in Post Falls, ID.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the company's Production facilities including establishing inventory controls, storage, equipment maintenance and facilities maintenance. The position also provides effective management of employees and ensures capacity is utilized effectively. This includes effective scheduling of employees and laboratory processes, ensuring all personnel are trained to perform their functions effectively, and providing performance feedback to employees in a timely fashion and in performance reviews that are conducted annually. Other duties include, developing an annual budget and effectively manage expenses to plan, working with the Quality organization to ensure product release and production processes are in compliance with regulations and investigating deviations, reviewing batch records before release of product, and ensuring all operations within the production organization follow SOPs and work to change or create those SOPs that are not complete.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Biology or related discipline and 5-8 years of experience working in a controlled process manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated working knowledge of Regulatory requirements and procedures; i.e., (CFRs, GMP, FDA, OSHA, and European Authority) is preferred. Excellent communication skills and success managing others in a production environment are a must.
All positions at ASM require the ability to work around allergenic antigens, hazardous chemicals and solvents and laboratory reagents.
