Chemistry Field Service Rep. (Spokane) Full-time

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all customers.
2. Train customers on their application using Metrohm Ion Chromatography and Titration systems.
3. Troubleshoot and provide customer support via telephone, email, or on site as required.
4. Travel to customer sites for training, installation, repairs, preventive maintenance, or other required services.
5. Perform instrument validations and certifications.
6. Support the sales team with technical information.
7. Effectively manage territory and company provided resources.
8. Comply with all of the company's policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
9. Promote Metrohm USA service products and meet individual and department budget goals.
As a Field Service Representative you will:
- Apply your technical knowledge and experience to solve technical problems and perform complex repairs onsite and via phone or email; Troubleshoot to component level, as necessary.
- Travel to customer sites for training, installation, repairs, preventive maintenance, or other required services; Perform instrument validations and certifications.
- Work with administration on advanced planning and component level ordering requirements for customer repairs and production/manufacturing schedules.
- Assure that repair, calibration and service work is performed in compliance with the established quality management procedures and manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by having the ability to provide a result oriented service to our clients. This may involve diagnosing improper sample handling technique, optimization of analysis parameters, and identifying sub-standard solvents and reagents.
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationships; Promote Metrohm USA service products and meet individual and department budget goals.
- Have the ability to explain the basic theory of Titration and/or Ion Chromatography.
- Have the ability to prepare standard solutions using good laboratory practices.
- Possess extraordinary organizational skills to balance customer visits and requests, documentation and reporting to supervisors and management.
- Demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to read and interpret business/professional journals and technical procedures.
- At all times provide exceptional customers service as well as the ability to handle difficult customers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university is preferred and two to four years' related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in chemistry and basic electronics.
