We are currently seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join the team as a member of our growing Payroll Division. In the exciting opportunity as Payroll Coordinator, this person will process weekly payroll for union and non-union employees in our accounting/payroll systems and set up union pay rates and standard costs. This role is responsible to maintain employee payroll files, answer employee questions and process written and verbal employment verifications. Experience with union payroll/reporting and payroll taxes is a plus.
In order to be successful in this role, you must have an understanding of end to end payroll processing and basic computer skills, including MS Excel and Word , data entry, excellent customer service skills. Qualified candidates will have the equivalent of three to five years of union payroll experience. Two years of business school or community level training in bookkeeping, office procedures, and general business subjects is preferred. FPC or CPP is another plus.
