Our Post Falls, Idaho Facility is currently seeking a talented Plant Controller. This individual will be responsible for planning, directing and managing the financial and accounting activities including month end close, maintenance of general ledger and financial audits. Additionally, this individual will provide leadership to others within the plant and also aids in the development of the plant personnel from a financial and internal control perspective and may include one (1) direct report. Also, this position requires solid skills in preparing accurate monthly forecasting and providing the necessary financial analysis to the plant manager and RSAA Management to gain insight regarding Post Falls’ financial results.

Responsibilities Include:
- Provide proactive financial management and leadership to the Plant Manager, Plant Leadership team, & RSAA Leadership team.
- Coordinate, perform, and/or supervise plant audit activities of internal, government and/or third parties.
- Interact with corporate staff, plant management, and RSAA Management on financial, accounting and administrative matters. Respond to data/financial requests as needed.
- Develop and implement plant accounting control procedures, ensure the reliability of data, and comply with general accepted accounting principles and company policies. Ensure information systems and processes are in place and maintained to provide data support for operations and financial activity.
- Prepares the monthly plant forecasts and variance analysis along with financial reporting and the annual budget process.
- Provides leadership to and development of others in general accepted accounting principles and best accounting practices.
- Provide technical direction for accounts payables and receivables, and combined office purchases.
- Reconcile, audit and track general ledger balances to reports from subsidiary systems.
- Coordinate and perform physical inventories of assets and plant materials.
- Compile and analyze financial and subsidiary ledger information.
- Develop and present reports to members of plant and the RSAA Management team.
- Coordinate normal and special financial analyses and reports.
- Complete other assignments as requested.
- Provide leadership in productivity opportunities and associated financial analysis and reporting.
- Internal/external audit requirement, ensuring internal controls are established and followed.
- Capital project preparation, follow up, and review.
- Process payables in a timely, accurate process.
- Site representative for HR, Benefits, and Payroll.
- Act as backup to Customer Service Representative in their absence.
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree with major in accounting (advanced degrees or certification a plus).
- Minimum three years experience that includes general ledger and accounting reconciliation activities, with proven ability & experience in month end closing.
- Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred.
- Proven ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents, government regulations, and mathematical concepts.
- Proven ability to function with minimal supervision while also leading others toward goals.
- Ability to plan and organize effective and efficiently.
- Results and detail oriented.
- Strong analytical, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills. (teamwork oriented)
- Committed to the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products with strong emphasis in Excel. Experience with Oracle, Hyperion and Lotus Notes preferred.
- Desire for advancement within the organization, including future relocation.
