BE GREAT Club Coordinator (East Central Spokane)

GENERAL FUNCTION: The BE GREAT Club Coordinator coordinates Club operations and programs under the direction and supervision of the Operations Director with primary concern for program implementation; supervision of assigned staff; and building management.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Considerable knowledge of: the mission, objectives, policies, programs and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs; of the principles and practices of non-profit organizations.
Demonstrated ability to organize, direct and coordinate operations; in personnel supervision, the recruitment and retention of key personnel; facilities management; and budget management.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and to develop solutions to problems with limited supervision.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club members, staff, subordinates, community groups, and other related agencies.
JOB SEGMENTS
Leadership - Oversee the implementation and delivery of operations, programs, services and activities that facilitate achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
Supervise both staff and members during Club hours, and be available after Club hours for late member pick-ups.
Set and holds standard for appropriate Club behavior for staff and members.
Program Development - Works directly with Operations Director to identify and evaluate opportunities to improve program effectiveness on the basis of participation and achievement of stated goals; recommends modifications to improve program performance, as appropriate.
Maintain records for Club program participation and testing scores to ensure measurable outcomes for grant requirements.
Work to achieve membership goals for overall Club membership, average daily attendance, and other youth served.
Resource Management - Co-manage administrative and operational processes, overseeing the maintenance and repair of designated area within the building, equipment, including use of facilities used by outside groups.
Co-manage Club financial budget and resources. Coordinate purchasing of equipment and supplies for Clubhouse.
Partnership Development - Develop collaborative partnerships with other youth serving organizations, local schools, and surrounding colleges/universities.
Build a working relationship with members and their families to ensure positive youth development.
Additional Responsibilities - Attend monthly administrative meetings and facilitate bi-weekly staff meetings within local Clubhouse.
Responsible for assisting in a variety of ways with special events, as well as taking a lead role with events such as Club Open Houses, Day for Kids, Youth of the Year Event and Teen-Focused Events.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The BE GREAT Club Coordinator shall spend time at his/her assigned Clubhouse in order to provide guidance and support to staff members, Club members and community volunteers. Working hours may vary depending on activities and events. Generally they will be Monday -- Friday, 12:30 p.m. -- 7:30 p.m.
