Production Manager/Agronomist (Central Washington) Full-time

Cutting-edge, multi-enterprise agricultural products firm is seeking a PRODUCTION MANAGER/AGRONOMIST with interest in quality genetics work and identity-preserved systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree or extensive coursework in crop Science or Botany
• Detail oriented with good organizational and record-keeping skills
• Microsoft office skills essential
• Independent personal time management
• Work well with contract growers and the public
• Experience in irrigated farming operations with emphasis on seed production
• Knowledge of field equipment performance and application
• Pesticide knowledge (must have or be willing to obtain pesticide applicator’s license)
• Valid driver’s license and US citizenship
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Work with team on planting, irrigation, fertility, pest management, weed control, pollination cycles, and monitor maturity, harvest and post-harvest
• Provide field management services to contract growers
• Be willing to work long hours as seasonally dictated
• Set-up and monitor herbicide and fungicide experiments Location: Central Washington
Compensation: Salary DOE. Health insurance and company vehicle provided.
