Service Manager (Spokane)

The Service Manager is responsible for managing the service department by effectively scheduling technicians and service appointments.
Meet budgeted objectives in the areas of service sales and profitability within company policies and guidelines.
To assist technicians in daily work routines.
To maintain a safe and clean shop environment.
To maintain customer relations to ensure long term growth in sales and profits. Customer satisfaction is essential.
Deliver quality work on time every time to customers.
To train and develop service department associates by ensuring that career development is identified and made available to performing associates.
The Service Manager must complete additional projects as assigned.
Ensure a safe work place at all times.
Instill a team atmosphere where all feel part of the team.
Ensure that all technicians are productive and work on jobs for which the customer will pay for their time.
Help the warranty/service writer to ensure that we file warranty and/or policy adjustments to recover as much as possible from our manufacturers.
Keep "policy" of billed technician time and rework to an all time low.
Recommend training programs needed for improving our technicians' capabilities.
Requirements:
Valid Drivers License with clean driving record.
Must pass a drug screen
Heavy Duty Industry - 2+ years experience required.
Must have a fundamental knowledge of business concepts
Must have a thorough understanding of the effects of competition.
Must have experience in profit and loss (P&L)
