Tutoring Positions Available Immediately (Spokane and Spokane Valley) Part-time

Tutor Summary and Requirements



Summary of Position: Tutors provide individualized instruction to small groups of students and must be able to creatively and actively engage students through positive and affirming interaction. Tutors responsibilities will include but may not be limited to: maintain accurate records of progress; write and keep lesson plans for each hour of tutoring based on a company instructional process; administer standardized tests and benchmark assessments; complete monthly progress report updates for assigned students.



Lead Tutor Summary and Requirements



Summary of Position: Lead Tutors oversee day to day tutoring operations at one school site, ensuring implementation of high quantity after school tutoring services for students. They will also provide instruction to a small group of students in math and/or reading. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to: Ensuring compliance with state and federal standards, supervising tutor staff; implementing training and staff development opportunities; participates and contributes to program planning and decision making; assists in the completion of documentation for attendance record and school districts requirements; acts as the liaison between the company and the School Site Coordinator; manage student to tutor ratios; collect and store lesson plans, materials, assessments, and other paperwork relating to reports; manage material inventory and facilitate distribution of materials to tutors. This position reports directly to the Regional Coordinator.



Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 1 -- 2 years teaching/tutoring experience is required. Bilingual candidates and those holding current teaching licenses are encouraged to apply. Reliable transportation is essential to the position. State requirements can include clearing of a tuberculosis test and verified fingerprints and criminal record clearance.



Positions are available immediately in Spokane, East Valley, and Central Valley School Districts. Priority will be given to candidates already cleared through OSPI so please include this information in your application.
