Spokane based Family Therapy provider is looking for a Visitation Specialist!
Our mission is to provide high quality, direct services and training to support the natural development of kind, gentle and safe home and community environments. Visitation Specialist
Parent child and sibling supervised and monitored visitations are facilitated in homes and on site. Maintain the safety and wellness of all consumers during an intervention free time established to support the relationship and contact between parties that do not currently live together.
Duties:
Conduct supervised and monitored visitation sessions.
Take careful notes during sessions, and report safety concerns and incidents promptly.
Transport children to and from visit locations and foster or other care giver's homes.
Support relationship development activities by offering consumers potential experiential games and activities, nearby parks, etc. . .
Educate caregivers about their role during visitation, including provisions for snacks, diapers, homework support, etc. . .
Support an environment where the child is able to receive the majority of their caregiver's attention during visits by interacting as little as possible, when appropriate for the children.
Cease visits when safety or health concerns arise.
Maintain positive relationships with consumers and referents by communicating concerns clearly and reporting accurate visit information.
Maintain orderly and complete client files.
Attend staffing, Family Team Decision Meetings, Child Protection Team meetings and Court proceedings as needed.
Attend agency monthly All Staff meeting and Weekly Team consultations.
Staff regularly with your Supervisor.
Utilize Online Data Management (ODM) to complete daily service logs, make referrals, complete monthly reports and exit summaries for each family, adhering to rigid deadlines.
Communicate professionally with referring social worker and IFPS team supervisor weekly.
Minimum Qualifications include:
High School Diploma or GED Minimum
Reasonable Driving Record
Reliable Vehicle
1st Aid/CPR Certified Infant/Child/Adult with AED, before start date
6 months related experience
Interest in working with children and families in need
Position starts Part-Time with Full-Time Potential, at $9.25/hour.
