Financial Analyst - Ambassadors Group, Inc. (Spokane)

We are looking for a Financial Analyst that would be responsible for the management of the financial budgeting and forecasting process for the organization, the review and analysis of financial results against the forecast and budget assumptions, as well as the preparation and distribution of financial reports.
Description of Essential Tasks:
- Effectively partner with assigned business units and departments in support of financials, including significant involvement in preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Monthly, quarterly and annual variance analysis of actual results compared to budget and forecast for business units and departments supported; explain fluctuations against expectations and consider impact on future results.
- Management reporting and analysis: maintain pre-established reports as well as development of new reports for distribution to business units, management and to/for presentation to the board of directors.
- Administration and maintenance of budgeting and forecast system.
- Provide and/or conduct training to effectively utilize accounting and forecasting systems.
- Provide overall finance support on miscellaneous accounting/business issues and special projects requested by management.
- Review and comply with internal controls as specified in Sarbanes Oxley compliance documentation
Required Education / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial and/or general ledger analysis.
- Ability to analyze data, problem solve, and multi-task.
- Effective time management skills and ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience using a general ledger accounting system.
