Graphics & Web Designer (Spokane/Coeur D Alene)

We are Digital Media Communications company, we specialize in Interactive Digital Touch Screen Kiosks and Digital Signage, and Digital Adverting Networks. nationwide. We are in need of a graphics designer as well as a website designer who can hit the ground running and do advertising graphics design and edit, Flash and Video file edit work as well. We are looking for more than just a contractor but a revenue share partner who will grow with our company in a new region we are Launching Feb 1st. We are about to launch in 5 new states , Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah. we need someone who will work with us as we feed them new business. We will become more or less your marketing arm
We deal with an extensive client base who advertises on our networks and in doing so we offer full service graphics design and website development. We charge by the hour on a sliding scale depending on each clients economic situation our prices range on the average from 25 per hour up to 100 per hour, we share the majority percentage with you.
We have a one hour min with each client typically, we act like an ad agency in most aspects, when we get a project the client describes to us what they are looking for some supply artwork and copy some don't, some let us do the copy some don't, we get a combination of low res and high res photos Jpeg typically some get raw files, so it comes in all shaped form and fashion.
We generally develop and size ads to specs we provide, typically that 3 different sizes, we save the final files raw and spec file to either JPEF or GIF or SWF files, we also have a lot of flash design and some light video editing work as well. so variable types of work. we tend to get ad cleanup a and edit work photo image cleanup and conversions as well. we do a lot of conceptual work too.
After the project is completed and approved by client we bill the client they generally have a net 15 or 30 day, we split 75% with the designer for all projects in the pay-period. (75% to the designer) if the project in one hour only we generally give you the entire billing amount most of the time.. we act as the contact point between client and designer and you will be working with our staff for the most part of the design and not the client directly.
We also have a current website that has been partially Re-designed that needs some re -edit work done and URL assignment changed as well as laying out new section for utilization of a new product we are launching, the site was being rebuilt with fireworks program and flash, This should be a simple task for an experienced web-designer. the previous designer had some family issues and was unable to complete the tasks. We will pay a flat rate for the work which will also serve as a testing project for Future website development for our client base. a project plan will be provided to what needs to be done
Job Description
Graphic designers produce designs that get our clients' messages across with high visual impact. They work on a huge variety of products, including Digital Media advertisements, websites, packaging, books and magazines, corporate identity (to give organizations a visual 'brand'), advertising, exhibitions and displays, and computer games. and other collateral material such as business cards letterhead postcards mailers posters etc etc.
Most graphic design work is now done on computer using specialized industry-standard graphics and multimedia software packages we use adobe master suite CS 3-4-5-6 Graphic designers have to work closely with other colleagues involved in projects, such as copywriters, photographers and sales staff. They may also work directly with clients.
Graphic designers are contracted 1099 and are paid per hour rate indicated per project assignment. Extra hours are common, especially to meet critical project deadlines. we do require a non discloser and non compete agreement to be signed upon engagement.
Our graphic designer must have:
creative flair, originality and a strong visual sense
strong computer skills
confidence, to present and explain ideas to clients and colleagues
an interest in Advertising Digital HD graphics .
We generally expect new designers to have learned the essential skills while completing their qualifications, but may support further study, . They may also provide in-house or external training in specific aspects of the job, such as presentation skills. Graphic designers are expected to keep up to date with the latest trends in the industry
