The Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Outreach Center is hiring an After School Teacher. This is a part-time position M-F from 2-6 p.m.

The position of After School Teacher supervises a structured after school program for children grades K-6th at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Outreach Center. This program is designed to improve academic performance, literacy, self-esteem, social skills, and an awareness of culture and diversity. It will include group activities, arts and crafts, and field trips.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. The Teacher will evaluate the program effectiveness by keeping attendance records and records of activities.
2. The Teacher will complete monthly report forms as required by the Program Director.
3. The Teacher is responsible for transporting children from their elementary school to the Center using vehicles provided by the Center and transport children to scheduled field trips.
4. Maintain a safe and healthy educational environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with licensing requirements and the Center's policies and procedures.
5. Disinfect and sanitize surfaces in the classroom.
6. Monitor children on the playground.
7. Prepare and serve snacks to children.
8. Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

- Compensation: $10.20/hr
