Route Sales Representative -- Spokane / Sandpoint / Colville
A well-established distributor located in the NW is looking for a self starter to join our operations team. This is a full time position open immediately. We are a fast-growing company, and there will be excellent opportunities for growth for the right person. Title: Route Sales Representative (RSR)
Compensation: Commission on sales with guaranteed minimum
Direct reporting to: Territory Sales Manager
This position is classified as: Exempt; Full-Time, Permanent
Day shift: Typical Schedule 4:30am to 1pm. Sun & Wed off. Shift times may vary.
Contingent Start Date: Immediate Opening
Description:
Complete responsibility for sales and service of the assigned accounts. Includes selling in displays, selling store managers on additional displays and space, control product ordering, merchandising, returns, reset assistance, delivering, and processing daily paperwork.
Primary Accountabilities:
Develop sales and working relationships with customer management staff in your assigned accounts.
Sell in incremental space and displays with your assigned stores management staff.
Communicate effectively with Territory, Division Sales, and Division Manager.
Manage merchandiser staff needs for your accounts.
Ensure signage and store tags are in place daily.
Deliver and/or check in product; work with each account's individual receiving systems.
Merchandise store shelves and displays with company products; rotate and pull unsalable product.
Keep backroom area, displays, and shelves in neat and orderly condition.
Order product and control in-store levels; must be able to project order quantities for delivery in each account with minimal out of stocks as well as returns.
Able to complete assigned routes in a reasonable time period (work quickly and efficiently).
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires lifting cases weighing from 20-60 pounds repeatedly throughout the work day. Loading, pushing, and pulling heavy product. Bending, reaching, and squatting throughout the shift while loading and moving products. Operate hand truck, delivery carts, and be able to operate heavy lift-gates.
Minimum Requirements (Must meet ALL minimum requirements):
Reliable transportation.
Valid driver's license.
Clean Motor Vehicle Report.
Strong proven selling skills.
DOT Medical card or willing to obtain immediately.
Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
Working knowledge of delivery/distribution/warehouse flow
Demonstrated excellent organizational skills.
