Part-time Youth Program Coordinator (North Spokane, Washington)

Part-time Youth Program Coordinator: If you would like to work from home, are active in your community, and would still like to meet the needs of your family -- working as a Compass USA homestay coordinator, is the best of all worlds!
Compass USA is an organization of people that live in communities throughout the United States who promote intercultural understanding by facilitating homestay programs. Our main objective is to meet the needs and concerns of our host families and our visitors from overseas.
Minimum Requirements: College graduate with experience in community work. Other job or volunteer experience can be substituted for college education. Lived in the community for three or more years, worked as a volunteer in the community and have contacts with families through various community organizations.
Our Summer Program High School Students from Japan will reside in your community with volunteer host families for 2 and 3 weeks in July. Youth Program Coordinators will be responsible for the following:
Recruit VOLUNTEER Host Families for the students.
Attend local training meetings.
Plan and supervise activities, airport transfers and English classes.
Be available to all participants during the program in case of an emergency.
PAY: Pay is per program. Total pay ranges from $2800 to $3000 per group. Pay is based on timely completion of host family recruiting etc.
