Sales Estimator (Post Falls)

Needed: Sales Estimator
Position Level: Entry Level plus
Position Summary: The purpose of this job is to make material takeoffs from plans and specifications, price up the product, quote the job to potential buyers, and prepare submittals for projects. Must be educated in Microsoft Office Professional 2007. Knowledge of Solid Works or Cad software would be a major plus.
Team Concept: Performs routine work in accordance with established and well-known procedures with moderate supervision while in progress. Review and complete dedicated assignments. Work well and communicate with the sales, production and engineering team.
Job Functions:
Must have strong communication skills.
Must have great computer skills/numerous software programs.
Use the plans service software to locate projects we wish to bid.
Work closely with our representatives on projects bidding in their territory.
Download plans and specifications on projects to be bid.
Review the specifications to ensure compliance.
Markup and do material takeoffs from plans, quote the project, and follow up.
Ability to skillfully read blueprints and have a good understanding of scales and dimensions.
Analytical and troubleshooting approach is favorable.
Methodical approach to solving problems.
Preparation of submittals for our products.
Coordinate all project information from bid through product delivery with the customer.
Deliver the difference in customer service.
Must be a team player.
Knowledge of fiberglass manufacturing process is a plus.
Additional Responsibilities:
Work closely with upper management.
Minimal travel at times.
Provide shop drawings.
Determine various applications for our product.
Participate in R&D projects.
