Job Description

Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information;

Determine customer expectations and requirements in order to recommend specific products and solutions;

Accurately process customer transactions such as quotes, orders, and returns;

Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications;

Increase sales by means of cross-selling, up-selling, and add-on sales;

Educate customers about terminolgy, features, and benefits of products in order to improve customer satisfaction;

Monitor scheduled shipments and expedite as needed;

Fill requests for catalogs, information, or samples;

Remain current on consumer preferences;

Communicate with purchasing department any unexpected changes in demand for product;

Manage time effectively, meet personal goals set by self and supervisor, and work seamlessly with other members of the distribution team;

Present professional image at all times to customers.

Desired Skills & Experience

Believe in the customer: be professional, patient, and polite while managing their concerns;

Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

Able to prioritize workload, move in fast paced environment while managing several assignments;

Have an optimistic approach to challenges and a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done;

Outstanding computer skills and ability to manipulate a variety of programs (Excel, Word, company database, etc);

Dedication to accuracy with an exceptional attention to detail;

A work ethic based on dedication to the company and it's mission.
