PT Evening Childcare Teacher (Spokane, WA)

Part time Evening Child Care Teacher needed for therapeutic day care at a residential women and children s drug treatment facility in Spokane, WA.
This position is responsible for following curriculum, classroom management, classroom sanitizing and daily documentation on class progress. The position will act as a liaison between supervisor and parents and will require attendance of staff meetings and trainings
Minimum degree of high school diploma or equivalent. STARS registration and one (1) year child care or related experience preferred but not mandatory. Experience with chemical dependency and/or drug affected children preferred and childcare supervisory skills/experience a benefit
Needs strong interpersonal communication, empathic, organizational and multitasking abilities. Must be detail oriented and maintain strict ethical and professional boundaries, willingness to work in a change based environment, use critical thinking skills and maintain a thorough knowledge of children/child development.
required on daily basis to stoop, knee, crouch, reach, stand, work in outdoor and indoor environments and lift 5 to 60 lbs. Diapering and potty training assistance is a required duty.
