DESCRIPTION:
Family Home Care, the largest Home Health Agency in Spokane County, has an opening on our team for a Full-time Private Duty Care Scheduling Coordinator in our Spokane Branch.
The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for completing multiple tasks necessary to keep private duty operating efficiently and effectively. Office support tasks may include but is not limited to the following: scheduling nursing assistants for necessary meetings; tracking nursing assistant CPR/TB/CE's; monitoring scheduled shifts to make sure tasks are present; runs reports for manager and team members as necessary; answers phones and accepts requests for service, schedules care givers to clients and assists field staff as needed; evening on-call for scheduling as needed; perform a variety of billing and payroll activities as determined and needed.
This position will report to the Private Duty Care Supervisor and work closely with other office staff in our branch office.
The anticipated schedule for this position is 40 hours/per week Monday through Friday with participation in a weekend rotation.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: High school diploma required.
LICENSE: NAR or NAC license in Washington and/or Idaho is helpful
EXPERIENCE: Home Health, office/ clerical experience, customer service experience, and knowledge of home health regulations is preferred. 1 year of experience required.
OTHER: Must possess or be able to acquire (FHC can assist) a current CPR card (BLS for infant, child, adult), a TB (tuberculosis) test within the last 12 months (FHC can assist).
ATTRIBUTES: Must be able to develop appropriate and compassionate relationships with patients of various backgrounds and conditions, along with members of their family. Must be able to work on a team that may span different days/times using good communication and complete charting. Must have excellent communication and prioritization skills. Must be able to multi-task and work effectively in a fast paced high energy environment. Must be able to work in various home-based conditions including pet dander, smoke, and various temperature environments. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely to prevent strains or injuries to either yourself or the patient. Must be able to work independently as well as with a team and maintain a positive attitude.
TRANSPORTATION & BACKGROUND CHECK: Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of ongoing auto insurance is required. Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Driver's check with ongoing maintenance of a good-driver's history (we check once a year). Must be able to pass a complete background check which includes: Criminal History, EPLS exclusion, APS exclusion, OIG exclusion, Sex-offender registry, and a credit check (does not check FICA score) to verify financial responsibility to care for vulnerable adults.
COMPENSATION:
Our competitive compensation package will be DOE/DOQ. Our benefits include the following:
